Reserves
The Niassa Park enjoys a combination of both Southern and East African wildlife, making for some interesting game viewing, and excellent birding, along with some unique scenery. Access to the Park is generally by light aircraft charter from the town of Pemba.
Gorongosa National Park, just inland from Beira, has also enjoyed extensive developments of late, with a small lodge which offers game drives and walks. Gorongosa is enjoying a resurrection, with improved infrastructure, and the release of wildlife, trans-located from areas such as the Kruger Park. The park encapsulates forests, mountain, and plains - making Gorongosa incredible diverse and unspoilt. Access is best via Beira. Connections can also be made to Vilanculos, in order to add a beach element to a Safari.
